Even if you had literally the PERFECT song not everybody would like it. 4.41 and 9.7 is an amazing score and shows that almost everybody loves it. Ignore the minority of ignorant whiners.

Hey buddy. This is newgrounds. I've been here for only a few weeks and I've still found out that the crowd here for the most part isn't looking out for people's best interests.

Theyre all either just trying to be funny, or just trying to tear you down. Both of which won't help you feel any better. I promise you that most of the bad reviews are from people who haven't probably even listened to your music, and if they have listened to it, they probably actually like it. Really!

Ya know, all of what I've seen here inspired me to throw together a quick illustration of how i felt about all this because i hope to submit an animation to newgrounds soon.

Check out my page. It's not very detailed. the quality sucks. but it gets the point across pretty swiftly.

If you can't see how you can improve your songs, then that's your main problem. There's always something to improve on.

By the way, if you're getting 5's and 10's from little kids and getting bad scores by people who really knows about music, doesn't that tell you anything?
Learn to take criticism, then you'll know how to improve.

I can tell you why. Because it's a tetris song. Any remake of a video game song i, in its basics, not even remotely considered worthy of getting on the top. Why? Because there wasn't an actual thinking process in making the song. You just took from another song, remixed it, and now you are getting credit for what was not yours. But since the top artists aren't going around using their time to vote on songs, but other normal newground users are instead doing that, is the reason you're getting the high scores.

If it were up to the audio forum artists to vote, then your score wouldn't be very much high as it is now. But it's not, its up to the community who watch flashes and play games and listen to music.

The obvious reason is that not everybody likes all music. Eg, I hate rap, while my friends love it. (shame on them)

If someone hates a genre, generally they will just say I hate it, they wont look at it with the "well, its done nicely (,more good aspects), I just dont like the song" perspective to give it a slightly higher rating.

Also as for the 'top of the portal' boasting, keep in mind that its a newer song (10 days old and with only (approx) 2,000 votes) and generally new things get unbalanced ratings... Wait a month to see what the community has done to change the rating before you start saying its perfect etc.

I don't see what the fuck you're complaining about. your songs are doing just fine. tetris BARELY got any review under 7 and is currently holding 4.39 which is good, especially in the audio portal. if people give you a bad review, who cares. as long as you feel good about it then don't fucking worry. the audio portal is a harsh place. deal with it and continue doing what you do. believe me, i know

Man, you should know, newgrounds is filled with a bunch of little kids. The artists who review badly are jealous fucks since they see a 15 year old kid is making music. I'm 15, i make music, i go through the same shit, i know some guy, 13 makes music, goes through the same shit.

All these little kids are jealous that they cant do something like you. They see everyone else likes your music, and they vote and review badly out of jealousy. Just keep prideful, keep doing what you do, and don't let these little fuckers put you down.

I've met many great artists who have stopped posting here, their music was better than anything you'll find on here, they make paragonx9, envy, bounc3 and a bunch of artists look like shit.

Don't listen to these kids, everytime you get a bad score or review, dont put your mind too it, newgrounds shouldn't even be worthy of your music.

The overall point is this. You have pages of reviews with straight 10's and maybe 4-5 reviews with a 0 or 3 as a score. I mean, just ignore those reviews, if they are too selfish and jealous to realize the work you put into a song, then let them dwell with hate, because at the end of the day, you did something and took it far, when all they did was hate you.

I once deleted a song on the top 5 the same hour it was put up there because immediately bombed, reviewed badly and it made me angry. I look back on the earlier version of that song which had also gotten on the top5, and now i regret deleting that submission, because I let down my fans for a bunch of jealous fucktards.

Also, I just got all my songs bombed, whoever did it, let this be proof to you what this website is full of. Like I said, a bunch of angry little kids who dont like to be insulted over the internet cause it makes them cry to their mommies. Just listen to those who matter to you, and let everyone else drown in their own hate and selfishness. You're the better one here, they can NEVER accomplish what you did, so why should they matter to you?

I really like your music but I guess there are people who just don't like that genre of music. I still can't see why they wouldn't like your music. Never give up on making your songs. A lot of people love it and it's the best I've heard from anyone.
I'm only 13 now but I just got into flash animating and music making. If you could send me the name of the software you use that would be great. If not that's fine.

I made a news post before on so called over-rated music. You see, everybody who listens to music views themself as the person who likes the "real music". If something they like is popular, that's credit to their taste of music. If something they don't like is popular, then that piece is an over-rated piece of garbage, and they would know because they are the end all to be all in musical opinion.

tl;dr- Some people are so arrogant that they think they have the right to blur the line between fact and opinion.

you just gotta accept the fact that not everybody has the same musical taste, even on a place like newgrounds. even if everything it is technically well done, a tetris remix is a tetris remix. its perfectly reasonable for people to have more respect for an original melody than one copied from an old video game, and its perfectly reasonable to not love hardcore techno. i gotta admit, i think most hardcore techno is mindless derivative garbage...
